Jack Molmud and Alex Piscatelli found each other when they least expected it

Students experienced culture shock, explored landscapes and created social media content

Content architect at Intuit may not be the first job that comes to mind when you think of JMS alumni, yet that is exactly what Patricia Swesey (‘11) is. Her current job is focused on generative artificial intelligence experiences.

From SDSU to Hollywood, the career of P. Frank Williams spans years and media industries. Williams, who graduated from SDSU in 1993 with a journalism degree and continued his education by earning a master's at Columbia’s School of Journalism, has had an impressive career in different media industries.

On Nov. 3, alumni, students and faculty of the School of Journalism and Media Studies came together to explore the impact of artificial intelligence on the media industry.

The School of Journalism and Media Studies held its sixth installment of its Screening Circle series on Oct. 3. Featuring stand-up comedian Fumi Abe, more than 230 students made this the most attended SC yet.
