From SDSU to Hollywood, the career of P. Frank Williams spans years and media industries. Williams, who graduated from SDSU in 1993 with a journalism degree and continued his education by earning a master's at Columbia’s School of Journalism, has had an impressive career in different media industries.

On Nov. 3, alumni, students and faculty of the School of Journalism and Media Studies came together to explore the impact of artificial intelligence on the media industry.

Jim Trotter will take the field again, returning to the School of Journalism and Media Studies this spring to teach sports journalism (JMS 426). Trotter brings with him a large playbook of ideas based on years of professional experience to share with students in this upper-division elective.

PR Week recently recognized Faryar Borhani on their 2023 40 Under 40 list. The annual list celebrates practitioners who are notably redefining the industry. Borhani, a 2010 graduate of the School of Journalism and Media studies, is the chief communications officer for Encore Capital group.
