Bio
McKenna Wecker graduated in May 2020 from San Diego State University's School of Journalism and Media Studies with a degree in public relations and a minor in political science.
McKenna earned a spot in the inaugural Broom Student Fellows program in the Broom Center. The program invests in future professionals with tailored professional opportunities. The fellows traveled to Seattle for agency tours and networking, did an executive coaching program with a professional time management coach, met with local professionals of varying backgrounds and formed lifelong friendships.
During her senior year, McKenna served as the director of digital media for SDSU’s Public Relations Student Society of America chapter, as a social media intern for Chemistry PR and as an academic mentor in the Journalism and Media Studies Residential Learning Community.
