Bio
Xiaohan (Catherine) Hu is an assistant professor of advertising in the School of Journalism and Media Studies, San Diego State University. Her research interests include digital advertising and consumer psychology. Her current research focuses on the role of user control in AI-powered advertising. Her work has been published in refereed journals including Journal of Interactive Advertising and Journal of Research in Interactive Marketing. Her research has also been presented at several national and international conferences.
