Bio

Alexis Hopper graduates with a degree in public relations from San Diego State University's School of Journalism and Media Studies in May 2020.

Alexis scored a spot in the inaugural Broom Student Fellows program in the Glen M. Broom Center for Professional Development in Public Relations. The program was designed for students who have grit and are taking initiative even before they enter the field. As a fellow, Alexis traveled to Seattle for an agency tour, met with several PR professionals with diverse backgrounds, took a course from a professional time management coach and left with lifelong relationships with the other fellows.

She was proud to be the team lead for the spring 2020 Broom Center campaign, working with her team to accomplish their goals and objectives.

Hopper believes in pushing the status quo. She stands by the Broom Center mission, values and motto in “making the profession better by making you your best professional.”

During her time at SDSU, Hopper held two executive positions in her on-campus sorority, worked as a college ambassador for Sony Pictures and Lionsgate at Allied Global Marketing, spent a year as a multimedia editor for The Daily Aztec, was a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America and rounded out her senior year interning at Nuffer, Smith, Tucker Public Relations.

Now that she graduated, Hopper will pursue a career in public relations at an agency and is excited for the journey ahead.
