Bio
Cassidy Bartolo was on the spring 2020 public relations team for the Glen M. Broom Center for Professional Development in Public Relations. She graduated with a degree in public relations from the School of Journalism & Media Studies at San Diego State University in May 2020. During the spring 2020 semester she served as the research lead for the Broom Center, guiding her research team to conduct, collect and analyze research and its data. The team won a Public Relations Society of America San Diego/Imperial Counties Edward L. Bernays Mark of Excellence Award for their campaign.
Bartolo strives to uphold mission and values of the Broom Center and provide resources to all of its professionals by encouraging the motto “Making the Profession Better by Making You Your Best Professional.”
After finishing her associate's degree in journalism, she transferred to SDSU in 2018. Bartolo found an emphasis in public relations to fulfill her passion and began pursuing her bachelor's degree. She takes on new challenges with grace and takes the time to make sure she and her team are organized. Her ultimate goal is to work in action sports PR with a brand like Red Bull whose social media presence pushes the boundaries with creative content.
In 2020, digital branding agency 62ABOVE hired Bartolo as a public relations intern. She continues to intern at the agency while also working a fine dining serving position in San Diego. She manages this in between her studies as a full-time student at SDSU.
Now that she graduated, Cassidy Bartolo will pursue a career in action sports PR and looks forward to the new opportunities and adventures that await.
