Bilingual Media Writing Program

Launched in Fall 2013 with a competitive $25,000 grant from the Public Relations Society of America Foundation, this initiative is designed to encourage Spanish/English-bilingual students to pursue media professions. Grant supporters included:

Two JMS courses are offered, when resources permit, on a Spanish/English-bilingual basis: JMS 220 (Writing for Mass Media) and JMS 434 (Writing for Spanish-language and Latino Media). And in Fall 2014, the School was joined by two additional Spanish/English-bilingual faculty members, who will help to further expand this program.
