K. Tim Wulfemeyer is a professor in the School of Journalism and Media Studies at San Diego State University. He has degrees from Fullerton College (A.A.), San Diego State University (B.A.), Iowa State University (M.S.) and UCLA (Ed.D). He has taught at Iowa State University, New Mexico State University and the University of Hawaii and has worked as a radio and television journalist in California, Iowa, Texas, New Mexico and Hawaii. His research interests include ethics in journalism, the content of radio and television newscasts, the content of news websites, audience interests and content preferences, mass media literacy, advertising aimed at children and sports journalism. He is the author or co-author of six books, four book chapters, 30 journal articles and 55 conference research papers. He is a member of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.
