What do we mean by “DesignLAB”?

You’ll start seeing more community involvement in the courses you take. We’re in the initial stages of Design Lab — an effort to integrate community-based performance issues into our entire curriculum. To date, we’ve aligned with many partners from various sectors including higher education, schools, corporate, and non-profits. We’re proud to partner with higher educational, K-12, non-profit, and corporate organizations including SDSU’s Lavin Entrepreneurship Center and Instructional Technology Services, Loyola University of Maryland, Innovation Middle School, The Learning Choice Academy, Girl Scouts San Diego, FIT (Financial Independence Training), Immersive Learning Research Network (iLRN), San Diego’s Association for Talent Development (SDATD), QualComm, M&T Bank, and IDK Innovation Laboratory.

Each one has engaged with us in multiple ways: class projects, events or activities, advisory board, and more. We’re continuing to add to our list of partner organizations — and we’ll certainly share details of those relationships with you as they become available.
