Gabriela Romero is the leader of the spring 2021 Glen M. Broom Center for Professional Development in Public Relations PR team. Under her leadership, the team is planning a strategic campaign for the 4th annual Allen H. Center Distinguished Lecture in Public Relations. She leads with organization and determination.
Romero graduates from San Diego State University in fall 2021 with a degree in public relations from the School of Journalism & Media Studies. She will have a minor in rhetoric and writing studies.
Romero holds PR-related positions such as marketing and communications student assistant for the College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts at SDSU, vice president of Public Relations Student Society of America SDSU, director of communications for Running Club at SDSU and a copy editor for the digital magazine MidWave.
From increasing Instagram followers for the College of PSFA by 60% to executing a PRSSA SDSU headshot fundraiser to hosting virtual Running Club at SDSU team events, Romero is driven by her desire to unite others and sense of optimism.
Upon graduation, Romero hopes to work for a California-based agency that is issue-driven and has a CPG focus.Faculty Main Page
