JMS cocurriular activities
Below is a list of some of these activities, associated with the learning objectives in the School of Journalism & Media Studies:
►The Daily Aztec - SDSU's campus newspaper, published four days a week during the academic year.

►KCR Radio - a volunteer-run student radio station on SDSU's campus.

►SPJ – Society for Professional Journalists student chapter
►PRSSA – Public Relations Student Society of America
►RTNDA - Radio-Television News Directors Association student chapter
Associated Students

Associated Students (AS) of SDSU is an independent student-direct corporation that provides a wide variety of student services and programs.
SDSU student government; recreation and fitnes including the Aztec Recreation Center (ARC), brand new Aztec Aquaplex, bowling, billiards, intramural sports, sports clubs, outdoor trips, rock climbing, and the Mission Bay Aquatic Center; on-campus child care; the Aztec Student Center; and SDSU's live entertainment venues are all managed by AS.

Athletics
San Diego State is part of the NCAA Division I Mountain West Conference. SDSU competative sports teams provide opportunities for talented student athletes to particpate with the nation's best talent and provide scores of exciting opportunities for students and community members to show their Aztec pride!

Fraternity and sorority life
Fraternal organizations have been a core component of the campus community since 1899. Currently there are over 48 social fraternities and sororities, including both general and culturally based organizations, represented by four governing councils.
