Mass Communication & Media Studies

Core Theory and Methods

You are required to take both JMS 600A and JMS 600B during your first semester of study.

Quantitative Methods

You are required to take JMS 620. You are encouraged to take JMS 620 during your second semester.

Specialization Courses

Four courses should be selected from the following JMS courses: 505, 506, 529, 550, 560, 574, 581, 585, 589, 591, 595, 596, 602, 603, 620, 696, 701, 708, 750, 764, 775, 780, 785, 798.

Electives

You can select three elective courses, two of which can be taken outside the School of Journalism & Media Studies. All electives must have the prior approval of the graduate advisor. Electives taken without approval may not be counted toward your program of study. No more than six units of electives can be special study (Com 798).

Military PAO Program
