Nine public relations seniors earn Certificate in Principles of Public Relations
December 12, 2016
Congratulations to the nine SJMS public relations students who have this year earned the Certificate in Principles of Public Relations from the Universal Accreditation Board (UAB), which oversees the world’s largest professional certification programs in public relations. These students decided to earn this optional, national Certificate in addition to doing their public relations coursework at San Diego State. Launched by the UAB in 2014, the Certificate is one first step toward professional Accreditation in Public Relations (APR), which practitioners typically undertake after at least five years of professional work experience.
SDSU is one of only 22 universities in the nation that participate in this national Certificate program. Since the program’s inception, 16 SJMS public relations majors have earned the Certificate in Principles of Public Relations. More information can be found on the Universal Accreditation Board's website.
