JMS Beats SDSU Graduation Rates

The School’s graduation rates continue to rise, beating both University-wide rates and our own previous ones.

Of the 105 first-year students enrolled full-time in the School of Journalism & Media Studies in fall 2011, 54.3% graduated in four years, a huge jump from our fall 2010 four-year graduation rate of 46.6%. In comparison, of the 3,580 first-year students enrolled full-time at SDSU in fall 2011, only 36.0% graduated in four years.

Of the 135 first-year students enrolled full-time in the School of Journalism & Media Studies in fall 2009, 74.1% graduated in six years, beating our fall 2008 six-year graduation rate of 71.9%. In comparison, of the 3,241 first-year students enrolled full-time at SDSU in fall 2009, 68.5% graduated in six years.
