In the earliest days of the World Wide Web, Dr. Dodge developed the WebQuest model, a framework for engaging learners with web-based material while practicing higher level thinking skills. WebQuests continue to be a staple of teacher education programs around the world.
Dr. Dodge is actively engaged in learning analytics research. His current study of large, blended courses at SDSU aims to identify undergraduates falling behind and to develop interventions that will get them back on track. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Dodge is a Faculty Fellow at SDSU’s Instructional Technology Services where he works with other faculty converting their courses for online delivery.
