Platinum Equity Group, former owner of The San Diego Union-Tribune, has donated $300,000 to SDSU’s School of Journalism & Media Studies. The gift will create the Platinum Project in Digital News Literacy and will help support instruction in digital and social media for undergraduate SDSU students and for professionals in the community.
The School of Journalism & Media Studies is now offering JMS students a full range of elective, one-unit courses in digital and social media skills. Up to three units of these courses may count toward your major.
